The pilot house has had some upgrades since we put the boat in the water. I've built a six inch shelf along the ceiling to hold hats, sunglasses, binoculars, navigational books, etc. Over the helm we decided to mount the instruments in the shelf face, it's convenient to have them off the helm top and mounted up high you can see them from almost anywhere aft of the helm.
There goes Sasha dream of owning a longboard while living on our boat!
